Lenten Day of Service - April 5
Lenten Day of Service - Saturday, April 5
St. Edward Parish will host our Annual Lenten Day of Service on Saturday, April 5th. Volunteers are needed to help beautify our parish grounds and facilities through pressure washing, painting, landscaping, and general cleanup.
This opportunity for community service during Lent welcomes volunteers of all skill levels. Join for any length of time you can offer. Lunch will be provided.
Further details about specific projects and the day's schedule will be announced soon.
April 5, 2025 - St. Edward Lenten Day of Service
What to bring (if possible):
- A rake or broom (with your name marked on it)
- Work gloves
- Closed-toed shoes
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Eye protection (optional)
- A refillable water bottle (optional)
We'll provide:
- Mass at 8:00 AM
- Coffee and morning snacks after Mass
- Lunch for all volunteers
Our main focus areas will be:
- The property's perimeter fence repair
- Debris raking/sweeping (Rosary Garden, playgrounds, entrances, stairwells)
- Indoor clutter cleanup (school, church, garages)
- Gardening, planting, and weeding
Remember, many hands make light work! ☺️ Your participation, whether for an hour or the full day, will make a significant difference in maintaining our beautiful campus.

St. Edward Church is excited to offer a new opportunity for the men of our parish: Cor Nights.
"Cor" is the Latin word for heart. These monthly gatherings will center on faith, formation, and fraternity. Our NEXT night will be held on April 24 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Religious Education Room.
The night will include prayer, food, and a reflection.
Consume my heart with that burning fire with which Your Heart is ever inflamed.

Volunteer to Share a Meal with Families
Welcoming a New Child!
There is a new initiative to support growing families by parishioners volunteering to drop off a meal to families who gave birth to a baby, adopted a child, or welcomed a child in foster care. This is a very flexible commitment and would involve participating 1-3 times a year.
Reach out to elizabethlansden@gmail.com if you would like to be added to the email list to be notified when a meal sign up is available. Reach out to the same email if your family is growing soon and would like to receive these meals or if you are aware of any soon-to-be-growing families in the parish.
Join us for a night of food and fellowship to support the Knights of Columbus as they host Lenten Fish Frys to raise money for the St. Edward Scholarship Fund & Room in the Inn.
Cash and Cashless options will both be available.
RCIA Dinner
The RCIA program at St. Edward needs your help! Please volunteer to sign up to bring dinner for our RCIA participants. Dinner should be made for 10. You are welcome to stay for class, to learn and share about your Catholic faith.

Each student represented a different state, sharing fascinating facts while entertaining everyone with patriotic songs and creative skits. So proud of these young scholars showcasing their knowledge of our nation's geography and history! 💚💛

Irish Easter Egg Hunt - Father Ryan’s Alumni Association invites you and your family to hop on down Father Ryan's bunny trail for our Annual Irish Easter Egg Hunt! Saturday, April 5, from 10:00am until noon on Father Ryan’s campus. Easter Egg Hunts begin at 11:00am with three hunts by age group. Spring Play at Father Ryan High School, April 10-12 - Join the Purple Masque Players as they perform the production of Joseph Stein's Fiddler on the Roof. Tevye the Dairyman comes to life and tells about Jewish life in a village in the Pale of Settlement of Imperial Russia at the turn of the 20th century. The performances will be in the Center for the Arts starting at 7:00pm, Thursday, April 10 - Saturday, April 12 and 3:00pm on Sunday, April 13.
