First Holy Communions This Sunday

This Sunday at the 12:15 PM Mass, children of St. Edward Church and School will be receiving their First Holy Communion. Please keep these young Catholics in your prayers as they prepare to receive the Blessed Sacrament for the first time in their spiritual journey. Those attending this Mass should be aware that there will be additional attendees as families gather to celebrate this important sacrament.
Divine Mercy Sunday

Join us at St. Edward Church for a special Holy Hour devoted to the Divine Mercy of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Divine Mercy Sunday is celebrated on the Sunday after Easter, the last day of the Easter Octave, when the Church invites us to experience Christ's unfathomable mercy in a special way.
Time: 3:00 PM Holy Hour
What to Expect:
- Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
- Opportunity for Confession
- Praying of the Divine Mercy Chaplet
- Benediction
Divine Mercy Sunday reminds us of "the love that pardons, reconciles, and reopens hearts to love," as St. Pope John Paul II expressed. This feast offers extraordinary graces to the faithful. On this day, the depths of God's tender mercy are open, pouring forth graces upon those who approach with trust.
Come experience the healing power of God's mercy. All are welcome.

Just as the earth, in its movement of revolution, tends to move away from the sun or the moon, its satellite, according to the seasons, we also feel that the wisdom and morality of our current world, in its existential orbit, often tend to deviate from the trajectory of God's saving plan for us.
Fortunately, thanks to the harmonious flames of Paschal love, we also feel that there are still people happy with peace who allow themselves to be consumed by this ardent fire to finally become starlighters.

"Cor" is the Latin word for heart. These monthly gatherings will center on faith, formation, and fraternity. Our NEXT night will be held on MAY 29 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Religious Education Room.
The night will include prayer, food, and a reflection.

Volunteer to drop off a meal to families with a new baby, adopted a child, or welcomed a child in foster care.
This is a very flexible commitment and would involve participating 1-3 times a year.

We will use short, simple tutorials to try our hand at watercolor painting and leave with a prayerful moment of reflection.
